Revolutionising the Guest Experience: Georeferencing Enhancements at the Sydney Royal Easter Show

Sydney, Australia – July, 2024 - In a landmark initiative aimed at transforming visitor navigation and engagement, The Imagination Collaborative leveraged the power of Vectorworks to introduce groundbreaking advancements at the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Harnessing Vectorworks’ processing capabilities, the team at The Imagination Collaborative developed a custom tool within the program allowing them to geo-reference all structures and activations within the Sydney Royal Easter Show. This innovative development was packaged and sent over to the team at Sendrato, to integrate into the Sydney Royal Easter Show’s newly released navigational app.
“Integrating georeferencing into our app for the Easter Show was a game-changer for us at Sendrato and the Easter Show. It allowed us to directly import event planning data, adding immense value for the 200,000 users. We imported 3,300 data points, enabling visitors to plan their experience with favourites and navigate accurately using georeferences. Previously, navigation was based on very approximate traditional map references (e.g., A9 or G6), which were not helpful or up to modern user expectations. This enhancement significantly improved the user experience and overall satisfaction.”- Bart Wildash, Product Manager, APAC Director, Sendrato.
Key to this enhancement was The Imagination Collaborative's event overlay service, which provided meticulously accurate spatial schematics. This precision allowed Show attendees to effortlessly navigate the expansive grounds and swiftly locate their desired attractions. The integration of augmented reality further enriched the guest experience, offering a dynamic and immersive journey through the event.
