Job Title: 2D Vectorworks Drafter

Job Type: 3 Month Contract

Location: Remote

Rate: Negotiable based on experience 

Hours of Work: 40hrs per week US - EST

We are seeking a skilled 2D Vectorworks Drafter with experience in event overlay and event structure design to support our event pre-production team for a 3 month contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise, detailed, and accurate 2D technical drawings to assist in event planning, site layouts, and structure placements.

What You'll Do: ​

• Produce high quality 2D event overlay drawings using Vectorworks.

• Develop detailed event site plans, infrastructure layouts, and structure placements based on provided specifications and client requirements.

• Work closely with event designers, technical directors, and production teams to ensure accurate representation of event spaces.

• Integrate GIS data, topographical surveys, and venue CAD files into detailed site plans.

• Create floorplans, seating arrangements, wayfinding layouts, and operational logistics maps as needed.

• Ensure all drawings adhere to event safety regulations, accessibility standards, and spatial planning best practices.

• Revise and update drawings based on client feedback and project changes.

• Coordinate with suppliers, fabricators, and installation teams to ensure feasibility of structures and layouts.

• Maintain an organised file structure for all drawings and ensure compatibility with internal project management tools.
   

What You'll Bring: 

• Proven experience as a 2D Vectorworks Drafter, ideally within the event industry.

• Strong understanding of event overlay planning, large scale event infrastructure, and temporary structure placement.

• Ability to interpret and work with venue CAD files, GIS data, and technical drawings.

• Familiarity with event production requirements, including power, rigging, accessibility, crowd flow, and operational logistics.

• High attention to detail and ability to work within project deadlines.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely with a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other drafting software is a plus but not required.
